Wound Care Services
Traumatic Wound Care
This service addresses non-emergency wounds resulting from an injury — for example, a wound that is clean, stable and not actively bleeding, but that needs ongoing assessment and management as it heals. This is not a substitute for emergency care.

Who This May Be For
- Patients with a healing but slow-to-close traumatic wound
- Patients who were already seen in an emergency or urgent care setting and need follow-up wound management
- Caregivers managing an older adult's skin injury from a fall
- Patients with a wound that is stable but not improving as expected
What to Expect
- A current assessment of the wound and healing progress
- A review of how the injury occurred and any prior treatment received
- An individualized dressing and monitoring plan
- Guidance on when a wound requires a higher level of care
When to Seek Care
- A stable, non-bleeding wound from an injury that needs ongoing follow-up
- A previously treated injury that is not healing as expected
- Never for active bleeding, suspected fracture, or a wound requiring emergency evaluation — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room
